TVR Tuscan Mk3 4.0S - The last Tuscan built!

This is an unrepeatable opportunity. Originally on the production line when TVR closed in December 2006, this was one of 14 unfinished Sagaris and Tuscans sold to Str8six by Nikolai Smolenski. Subsequently, this car was the very last Tuscan - Targa or Convertible - finished to factory specification by Str8six. The car's engine was built by Str8six to full 4.0 Litre S specification and incorporates every upgrade available for the Speed Six engine.

Unlike all the other Tuscans finished by Str8six, this car was not licensed by reference to a Submac by a DVLA Local Office. The DVLA in Swansea required a Certificate of Newness to confirm that this car had been completed using only brand new components before they would countenance its registration. The DVLA also required certified confirmation from the then new TVR company that this car is a genuine TVR Tuscan, and this was provided. In addition, the DVLA stipulated it had to pass full IVA (Individual Vehicle Approval) Certification before an application for its registration would be approved. The car passed that inspection without any rejections or concessions at its first submission.

This Tuscan had been inspected by its forthcoming owner (now the first of two) prior to the IVA. It was duly registered - using his specially procured registration number TB13TVR - on the 1st February 2014. He retained this number and the car was re-registered by its second owner as T24TUS, which is the number that will come with the car. But the next owner could retain this number and allow the DVLA to assign a 2014 registration number - the only TVR entitled to carry a "14" plate!

The car's exterior colour and the interior colours are accurately depicted in the photographs. The car is fitted with Dark Shadow Chrome alloys. The condition of this Tuscan Mk3 4.0S is "AS NEW". This is hardly surprising. The first owner kept it garaged throughout his ownership, during which time he was overseas for lengthy periods. He sold the car to Str8six and when it was supplied to its second owner - a TVR collector - it was showing a fully verifiable mileage of exactly 2,401 miles. The second owner raised that mileage to the current reading - just 2,505 miles!

The car's service record has been kept meticulously up to date with 3 further services since the 1,000 mile service carried out on 6 February 2014 at 774 miles. The second service was at 880 miles on 3 June 15. The third service was completed at 1,606 miles on 6 April 16. The fourth service was a Pre delivery Inspection and 12,000 mile service by Str8six TVR at 2,418 miles - prior to the car’s handover to the second owner on 19 October 16.

At the retail price of £65,000, this car represents an exceptional opportunity! And, given that it is a very low mileage Mk3 4.0S convertible, and probably the very last TVR Tuscan registered, its potential value in years to come is almost certain to increase. In reality, given its date of registration, provenance, condition and very low mileage - and the fact that you can convert it into an open car - it could reasonable command a higher price than a closed cockpit TVR Sagaris with commensurate mileage - but no such Sagaris exists!

Overall mileage - 2,505. Advert Date: 2017-10-01
